Tip 1. Have two biographies of yourself: One that is shorter, one or two paragraphs: the second, a longer fuller history, one page. Keep them businesslike. A lot of information that you’d like to include, such as your philosophy on life or what kind of person you are, readers usually don’t care about. Tip 2. Make sure you update your IMDB.com profile. Make sure to have your photos and bio there. Tip 3. It seems simple, but always proceed with a publicity or marketing plan. If you are in preproduction on a film, think about what you can do to groom your project’s awareness even during shooting (for consumers, potential distributors or festivals). Think about putting clips up during production or announcing start of production, especially on appropriate internet outlets. Tip 4. The publicity world has changed, most people still don’t get online publicity and promotions. There are tons of things you can achieve, for little or no money. Tip 5. A big problem is that we live in a results oriented world, many waste a lot of money chasing after a quick segment, just to say they are on TV or Radio. These one-offs are meaningless and usually do more harm than good. Tip 6. Whether or not you use a publicity firm for yourself or a project, it’s essential to have someone for a “second opinion” and to make sure everything is being thought of on your behalf. Like getting a second opinion when you go to a doctor. Tip 7. Most publicists say they are Internet and tech savvy but 9 out of 10 times they aren’t. Many publicity “experts” feel that the Internet is just another outlet to send information to, it doesn’t work that way. The Internet has its own rules. The Studios, for example, have the money to buy ads and muscle in that way. But most people don’t have that clout (nor money) and need the sophistication and the relationships or friends of true Internet professional to get meaningful results. Free or inexpensively. » Get consulting with David E Van Houten Read MoreBandwidth Monsters?
A website owner is always concerned about bandwidth. Website hosting packages will do one of two things once you go over the allotted bandwidth for your account.
- The host will make your website inaccessible until you pay the overage amount, or until you pay to increase your hosting bandwidth space.
- The host will continue to let your bandwidth go over the allotted amount and charge you overage fees at the end of the month.
What are the bandwidth monsters?…
1) Traffic to your website. Visitors to your website use bandwidth by opening up the html pages and images on those pages.

A mother always has a full plate. Super mom is a category that I find myself in often. My tasks include being mom, housewife, homeschool teacher, and small home business owner. I am often asked about how I do it all. There is no complete balance really. There is no schedule that I go by. Housework suffers many times. I am thankful to have a wonderful husband who understands and helps around the house. My children are also helpful about the chore requirements when they want to be. I feel truly blessed. I realize that what I do isn’t for everyone. If you have some of the following attributes, you may be able to… 1. Multitask. You must be able to do more than one thing at a time. Or do one thing while planning out another task that you have to do. 2. Fast. You must be fast at the things you do. I am not talking about everything, just the things you are good at or like to do. I really want to vent, but I realize that I have to understand that some people either get confused, or simply don’t “GET IT” when it comes to getting something for free. Is it REALLY free? Think about it. SOMEONE is paying for it to become available to you for “FREE” somehow!
Let’s look at newspapers or magazines that you receive for “FREE.” These publications are supported by advertising that is built around the content. The more advertising dollars the publications gain, the more they can grow. Some publications will charge you AND place advertising around their content. So, you should feel lucky that SOMEONE is paying for you to get the “FREE” version, which isn’t really free because they are “BUYING” space for your eyeballs to see their products or services.
