CLASSROOMS NATIONWIDE SEEK TO SET RECORD AMOUNT OF FOOD AND CLOTHING COLLECTED FOR THANKSGIVING
How much can your class collect?
While food and clothing drives have become synonymous with the coming of Fall and the holidays, there's one happening this year that's unlike any other. It's "The Drive." K-12 classroom teams will score "points" for items collected and delivered to the community agencies they've chosen – with an expected economic impact of more than $1 million.
It's the first event of a new effort called The LEAGUE, that empowers kids to "get in the game" of giving is coming to a school near you. Newly drafted LEAGUE schools will begin their first season of play by spending the month of November participating in "The Drive" – the nation's largest student-run collection of food and clothing. Schools can participate in "The Drive" by joining The LEAGUE – it's free and simple. To find out more, visit www.theleague.org.
