A new 'must have' website product was just released today much to my relief. I have been dreading what I should do about the spam I tend to get through my websites.
1) You can't simply put your email address up on your web page. Why? ...
2) You can't easily put up a contact form for people to contact you. Why? ...
When I first started out making webpages, I would simply type my email address and make it a link.
I would also make an image link to my email address, which would pop up the mailing program window to allow people to type in a message.
Then, I resorted to using a script that I installed by following simple directions. It worked nicely for a while.
However, all of the previous methods of letting people contact me through my website, resulted in spammers getting ahold of my email address and sending me a deluge of junk mail. *sigh I found I had to repeated change my email address. What a pain! Especially when I have many websites to worry about.
I have been looking for a better way to handle a contact form, which doesn't allow software to come to my website and 'scrape' my email addresses to sell for purposes of spamming them.
Today, I finally found the solution... and with some extra surprises, that you'll have to check out for yourself.
With it being tax time, I was worried about how much the cost would be, and was relieved to find it is a perfectly affordable price. So, I got my copy (plus I upgraded for some extras) and I am working on getting it up on my websites.
